Decoupage on metal tutorial – DIY Watering can decoration idea Shabby Chick


Use acetone to clean the surface. Paint the watering can with dark rose acrylic paint C0250. After drying paint the surface with Chalk acrylic paint “Lichen-green” KAD07. Leave it to dry. Moisten a Sponge in the water, wring it out, rub the surface by sponge and then rub down by dry fabric. Carefully tear the motif out of the napkin S391. As a rule a napkin has 3 layers. Use the top one. Put the napkin on a regulare film (punched pocket). Pour water on the napkin. Carefully smooth the napkin out by fan brush. Lift the film together with the napkin to let water flow down. Put the film together with the napkin on the surface. Carefully remove the film. Apply glue immediately (Water down glue 1:1) and spread it from the center to napkin borders. After drying apply the acrylic varnish. Paint the surface near the motif with acrylic paint KAD7. Tear the motif out of napkin S387, put it onto punched pocket. Pour water on the napkin. Lift the film together with the napkin to let water flow down. Put the film together with the napkin on the top of box. Carefully remove the film. Apply glue immediately (Water down glue 1:1) and spread it from the center to napkin borders. Paint the surface near the motif with acrylic paint KAD7. After drying apply the acrylic varnish. Draw fruiting branches and leaves with acrylic paints C6480, C0250, C0355, C9036 . Cut the motif out of napkin S458 and glue it onto the surface. Put the silicon stamp ST1048 otno the Transparent block ST07. Add the ink FB34 and FB12 to the silicon stamp ST1048 . Than stamp the image compress hard. Draw the points with acrylic paint by toothbrush. After drying apply the acrylic varnish, than apply a varnish a solvent based.
